About ECAF
ECAF's Mission
Founded in 1987, the Edenvale Classic Aircraft Foundation (ECAF) exists to preserve, enjoy, and educate the public on the history of classic aircraft in Canada.
To this end, the ECAF currently operates a fleet of three aircraft; De Havilland DH8A Tiger Moth, PT-26 Fairchild Cornell II and Fleet 80 Canuck.
We open our hanger to the public every Thursday from 9am-3pm during May-October, and offer classic aircraft flights non Thursdays and other select days.

The Gathering of the Classics
Since 1989, ECAF has been hosting the Gathering of the Classics (GOTC), which is the largest gathering of classic cars and airplanes anywhere in Canada.
The Gathering happens on the first Saturday of August, making it an excellent opportunity to come and get a ride in our Cornell or Tiger Moth, see other vintage and military aircraft, see hundreds of classic cars, and more.

Humble Beginnings
Originally, ECAF was formed as the Collingwood Classic Aircraft Foundation out of the CNY3 airport, and was created around the idea of operating
C-GSTP, a British-build Tiger Moth, which is actively flying to this day.
Since the late 1980s we have continued to grow, and have operated many classic aircraft in the past, including a Bellanca Cruisemaster, Taylorcraft Auster, and Piel Diamant.

ECAF Today
With a nearly 40 year history of preserving classic aircraft, ECAF continues to preserve and share these pieces of aviation history with the public.
Interested in joining us? We are always looking for new volunteers. Check out our Volunteer page.
We also welcome private and commercial pilots to join our ranks as volunteers to fly our aircraft. You can learn more here.
