FAQ

Please read through our frequently asked questions before contacting ECAF

What should I bring for my flight?

Dress warmly! The Cornell and Tiger Moth are both open cockpit, so it is advisable to dress in layers in the spring and fall. On a nice summer day, shorts and a t-shirt will do.

Don't forget to bring your camera!

2

Can my Family/Friends come with me?

Absolutely! We have had as many as 10+ people come to see their family member/friend come and take flight with us. Please note that dogs are prohibited on airport property.

3

What happens if we need to reschedule?

Sometimes due to weather or unscheduled maintenance, flights must be rescheduled. We will reach out via email to notify you of the need to re-book.

4

What is the flight like? Will I get to fly?

Every flight is different, and catered to what you want to do and see! On the average ECAF flight, you will soar over the Georgian Bay, Wasaga Beach, and even Blue Mountain. For those who are pilots or aspiring pilots, we are happy to hand over the controls and give a 1940s era flying lesson.

If you are local to the area, we will fly over your house, cottage, or wherever else you would like to go and see.

5

Are there restrictions on who can go flying?

For safety, it is important that all passengers are flexible enough to get in and out of the airplane unassisted. The minimum age we can take flying is 12.

There is no maximum age! We have had the privilege of flying many in their 80s and even 90s!

6

Where do I go when I get to the airport? Do I need to pay for parking?

You do not need to pay for parking. Simply take a parking ticket to get into the parking lot, and we will let you out after the flight - free of charge.

When you arrive for a flight, park in the airport parking lot and proceed along the path to our hanger. Bathrooms are available inside the main Terminal, which is adjacent to the parking lot. For a map to the hanger, please click here.
