ECAF Board of Directors

Chair of the Board & President
Larry Arnold
As President of ECAF, Larry coordinates the activities of the different committees that handle the day-to-day operations of the museum. He is also the Chairman of the Gathering of the Classics committee and oversees the details of our annual fundraising fly-in. Larry has been a member of ECAF since 2014 and previously served as the Director of Maintenance (2021-2024). He is a former navigator and pilot in the CAF and is currently a Captain at a Canadian airline.

Chief Pilot
Brian Hope
Brian oversees pilot operations, ensures compliance with the TC Warbird Exemption, and conducts training for sponsoring pilots, check rides, and exams. A former ECAF President with more than 26,000 flight hours, his career spans flying skydivers, towing banners, executive jets, and international airline operations flying 2, 3, and 4 engine jets, including roles as a line-indoctrination Training Captain, UN Peacekeeping pilot, and long-time Air Cadet instructor.

Director of Flight Operations
Mitchell Phillips
Mitchell oversees events and flight bookings, in addition to flying the PT-26 Cornell and DH82 Tiger Moth, and serving as an instructor for new Canuck sponsors. With an Air Cadet background, experience as a freelance flight instructor, homebuilt-aircraft test pilot, and airline Captain, he brings over 3,500 hours of diverse flying experience to the role.

Treasurer
Michael Mazereeuw
Mike is the ECAF Treasurer, responsible for all financial transactions and managing the insurance and business issues of ECAF. He has been with ECAF since 2008 and Treasurer since 2009 except for a 4 year period while he was President from 2018 to 2024. Mike has been flying recreationally since age 17, and is ECAF's longest-serving board member.

Director of Grounds & Facilities
Robert Leisca
In 2012, I retired from Bombardier Aerospace (BA)/De Havilland Aircraft (DHC) after 35 years of experience in various roles in support for the DHC5, DHC6 DHC7, and various Dash 8 aircraft, as well as a few Q400 series aircraft. After a year of retirement, I felt a strong desire to be around aircraft. Since joining the ECAF community in 2013, I have never looked back. It is an exceptional group of aircraft enthusiasts, and with such a group, one naturally aspires to participate in any all activities, even if they are not aircraft related.

Director of Aircraft Maintenance
Hal Sebeti-Mehr
Hal has been with ECAF for nearly three years, serving as Director of Maintenance for just over one. His focus is simple: keeping the ECAF fleet flying through proactive, preventive care. With a background in aircraft design, he is also continuously refining his amateur-built Waiex. He holds both TC and FAA CPLs, as well as FAA Airframe & Powerplant certification. What Hal enjoys most about ECAF is the camaraderie, dedication, and friendly spirit shared among its volunteers.

Director of Museum & Community Relations
Michele McKenzie
I first discovered the joy of flight at ECAF in May, 2009 and have been an active member ever since. My special interests include children's programming by introducing the joy of flight to the next generation with our Mini-Plane Program and preserving local history by collecting the stories of RCAF veterans and artifacts that otherwise would get lost in the mists of time. Over the past 16 years, I have met some wonderful people - both club members and visitors - and had the pleasure to help host some fantastic museum events including our annual Gathering of the Classics.
